Fig Balsamic Meatballs
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
⅓ cup milk
¼ cup onion dice
1 tablespoon bread dipper seasoning
1 egg
¼ cup parmesan shredded
salt and pepper to taste
Sauce:
¼ cup Aged Fig Dark Balsamic
2 tablespoon Garlic Infused Olive Oil
1 cup – BBQ Sauce
1 cup jam (fig or raspberry)
Preparation
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients until just combined. Shape mixture into 48 meatballs, approximately 1 ½ tablespoons each. Combine jelly, bbq sauce and balsamic vinegar in a crock pot, whisk to combine. Add meatballs and stir until they are all coated with the sauce. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
If you want to bake in oven instead, preheat oven to 400.
17 to 20 minutes, or until no longer pink in the middle. Turn halfway through, so the bottoms don’t brown.
